Bangladesh Bank vide their letter no.BRPD(M)204/12/2009-05 dated 11/01/2009 has accorded their approval to the Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Ltd. Head Office Dhaka for opening of a fully owned subsidiary company in the UK. Accordingly Exim Exchange Company (UK) Ltd. was incorporated at Companies House under the registration number 06814788 on 10 February 2009.
The Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Atiur Rahman inaugurated Exim Exchange Company (UK) Ltd on 30 June 2009. His Excellency Dr. M Sayeedur Rahman Khan the High Commissioner of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh was also present at the iauguration ceremony. Amongst others the Chairman, other directors and the Managing Director of Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Ltd were also present at the ceremony.

To increase our international services and to commence services to North America, EXIM Bank Ltd, Bangladesh opened EXIM Exchange (Canada) Limited on 23rd January 2010 in Toronto, Canada.

New Branches at Nabigonj and Beanibazar
To improve the services to our UK based remittance customers, EXIM Bank opened two new Branches in Sylhet. On 23 December 2009 our 51st Branch was opened in Beanibazar and on 24th December 2009 our 52nd Branch was opened in Nabigonj.
